  Every child is different but if you are looking for a learning environment with small class sizes, a sense of community, where the teachers and staff seem to really care about the students and where the students seem to really care about each other then this is the best! They offer the full BC curriculum program with the additional arts programming weaved through the core of that curriculum. Students are able to learn math, science, English, social studies etc. through drama, art, dance, music, field trips and project experiences, as a complement to more traditional methods. The small and dedicated group of teachers and staff are huge asset to the school and the students seem to adore them. Our elementary aged son is thriving - in both an academic and emotional sense - and totally loves the school and the staff. I've no experience of the middle and high school classes other than the students that I've encountered are friendly, compassionate, kind, polite and confident. Highly recommended.

  My kid goes to this school and he is loved and cared for every day. I can't comment on how he will be treated when he is older - but if he had problems I would speak with his teachers and the school principal. I wouldn't leave a vague, derogatory post on a public forum.

  Thank you Studio 9! Our experience with Studio 9, and more importantly our daughter's experience, has been nothing but exemplary. She began in grade 10 after a couple of unpleasant experiences in a big high school and during the teacher's strike. She researched and decided upon Studio 9 after visiting some other private schools in Kelowna, she decided! She is so happy that she did. Having just graduated this year, her time at Studio 9, her teachers and her experiences with all of the students will be cherished memories. At Studio 9 we watched our girl shine and grow into a talented, self confident, caring, business minded young woman who we could not be prouder of! It takes a village and Studio 9 is a great one!

  Our daughter joined Studio 9 last year (her grade 6) after attending a Montessori school on the coast. Our daughter reports feeling "at home" at Studio 9! We have found that the teachers have been responsive to any concerns, questions and requests that we have presented. I am grateful that we found a place for our daughter to live, learn, and grow in a safe and fun environment.

  Could improvements be made? Yes. The school is new in relative terms and will have growing pains. With constructive input from parents, children and staff I know it can be even better.

  Studio 9 has been a very good school for my two young Grandchildren. The school has wonderful teachers and small class sizes and individualized attention for each of the children. It is wonderful incorporating the arts into the curriculum. Putting on two performances a year is such a rewarding, creative experience and the children learn so much about life and the arts during theatre week. I am a fan!

  I needed to log in to leave a review after I saw 6 reviews left in the last 2 weeks (since school finished for summer) hammering the teachers and the school in general. Seems unusual to me??
