  Following this, I had an injury related to gymnastics, and during my appointment his solution was, to stop doing the gymnastics as "it's not really an important life skill anyways", and proceeded to leave the room for two ten minute blocks while I waited. As a physiotherapist your job is not to tell me that my sport isn't "an important life skill", it is to get me back to doing what I enjoy doing. Disappointed.

  Ross was recommended to me by colleague couple years ago after I had visited other physios, RMTs and acupuncturists trying to address ongoing shoulder and neck pain caused by computer work. He was able to identify the problem areas immediately, and I found his treatments (both physio and IMF) more effective than anyone else I’d seen. Over, a couple visits he was able to relieve tension so that I could return to rowing, yoga and hiking pain free. Thanks Ross!

  Mixed feelings about Ross. He treated a hip injury of mine effectively. But started noticing he would give me something to do and proceed to leave the room for up to 15 minutes at a time to go talk to his friends in another room; I would finish after only a few minutes and have to sit wait for him while I could hear him laughing in the next room.

  As a kinesiologist I have collaborated with Ross McKinnon on many mutual clients. He has always demonstrated genuine concern for his patients and always takes time away from his busy schedule to provide me with his expert guidance. I recently tore my quad and got to experience Ross from the other side of the treatment table. Again I was thoroughly impressed with his extensive knowledge, professionalism and genuine concern. Unlike many physiotherapists, he does not hook you up to a TENS nachine and leave you while he treats 5 other patients. He gives you his full attention and goes the extra mile to provide you with rehabilitation exercises to help return you to your pre-injury condition and discusses preventive measures to avoid re-injury. Whenever I have a client who needs a physiotherapist I never hesitate to refer them to Ross.

  I have visited Ross for treatment for two separate sport injury-related issues. Both times Ross was very professional, knowledgeable and thorough in taking the time to understand the source of the problem in order to determine the best course of treatment. As an athlete himself, he understood how determined I was to continue training despite the injury and he tailored the treatment so that I was ready for the rowing competition I was preparing for. It is clear through his approach that his priority is making sure his patients are comfortable and getting them back to normal through best practice and appropriate treatment. I recommended Ross to several friends and colleagues who are also very pleased with the treatment they have received.
